Jewellery Care
Your handmade jewellery has been constructed using the finest quality glass beads, pearls and silver components and each piece is made to last. It is very easy to look after and with proper, loving care can last for a lifetime.
It is recommended that you do not wear any kind of jewellery whilst swimming or bathing as the chlorine and salt content may be harmful to the materials.
Glass Beads
In order to prevent scratches to the surface of the glass, you should ideally store each piece separately.
Sterling Silver
Leaving your Sterling Silver jewellery out in the open air for long periods of time can cause it to tarnish [blacken in appearance]. In order to prevent this from happening, you should store your jewellery in a cool, dry place. I keep mine in a polythene zip-top bag with in a plastic box and usually separate from other pieces. Bagging each individual one separately helps to reduce the risk of scratching and rubbing and the need for constant cleaning.
Silver experts say it is advisable to clean your Sterling Silver jewellery with a phosphate-free, low abrasive cleaner.
